Flexmania

It's been about 5 months since I got introduced to Adobe Flex. I always fancied creating Flash applications. Macromedia Flash 4 and 5 were real cool tools. However, not so great from a developer's perspective! Flex brings together a developer and the power of Flash. The result is amazing. For instance, the Home Locator won the Flex Derby. Some other examples like FlexPM and E41ST have really taken the RIA into altogether a new zone. I am already a part of the team who is creating an enterprise level product in Flex 2.0.
Times... they are changing!

Mungaaru Male

Never thought of watching a Kannada movie in US cinema hall! Mungaaru Male, a grand success, did live up to some of my expectations. Especially the Sonu Nigam's number 'Anisuthide Yaako Indu' was brilliantly shot. I had heard the song umpteen times but was glad to see a slick photography in the video (a pleasant change from all those cheap and dirty Kannada movies lately).

This is not a coincidence

I thought of a grand hoopla for my birthday. Alas, it was not in my destiny. Last year, I had my countenance smeared with creamy cake! Worksoft faced it's biggest shock that day. Robin was speechless. Puneet was the doer... He must have enjoyed it. He wanted to give me 'bumps' but I managed to escape.

And this time, I say to life. I will be all alone in this damn 100% ns hotel, wondering about my "pichhale janam ke paap"

ReDallasing

It was exactly a year ago when I made my first visit to USA. Dallas, TX was the place then. This is a sheer coincidence that I am here again exactly after 1 year! The city is painted greener this time. Thunderstorms, rains, light drizzles - I'm loving it! Perhaps I might celebrate my 30th birthday here

Lack of cameraderie!

Nikon Coolpix 5400 - I was delighted when I first got it, about an year and a half ago. Damn thing didn't last. The CCD is broken. Takes a fortune to get it repaired. What a pity!!

Fallen!

Never expected to write in such situation. Getting engaged was on the cards, never thought it would be now. 6th April 2007, while millions were celebrating Good Friday, I was putting the engagement ring on her finger. Feels different, quite different really.

I have mixed expressions. Guess I need to recover into my own nutshell!

Unlike probably everyone else, going home is not so special for me. Nothing in it, but just the tiring journey (only 8 hours... still). Seems loneliness has gotten me... almost. Don't fancy company anymore. Weird... Eh?

Coming back to life!

Floyd fascinated me - always, from the moment I heard them. It's just not that wonderful electric guitar chymes, it's much more. I often wonder what is it that makes a great musician? Is it the lyrics, the voice, the rhyme, the music or perhaps it's all of them... For me, what matters is the instant contact a song makes when I hear it.

And so, "Coming back to life" to say would be the best phrase to describe this post! I guess it will take few more outlandish thoughts for me to be there.
